Currently recruiting a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in Richland, Washington, to assist in the injured federal employees return to work as an integral part of the U.S. Department of Labor' s Vocational Rehabilitation Program. The Rehabilitation Counselor will set their own hours and schedule to meet face-to-face with injured workers.QUALIFICATIONS OF THE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION COUNSELOR:2 years of vocational rehabilitation counseling/placement experienceCertification by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)Not currently under contract with a Federal Agency involving Division of Federal Employees' Compensation (DFEC) cases (other than OWCP) in a manner or role which would create a conflict of interestPreferred (but not required): Rehabilitation Counselor/Professional Counselor/General Counselor license (where available); Professional Certification: Vocational Evaluation (CVE/PVE); Work Adjustment (CWA); Career Assessment Associate (CCAA), (CDMS) Certified Disability Management Specialist and (CCM) Certified Case Manager; Recent prior experience with the DFEC vocational rehabilitation program (within the last 5 years, with good performance and no disciplinary actions) and/or performing vocational rehabilitation in a workers compensation environmentDUTIES OF THE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION COUNSELOR:Vocational counseling and guidanceVocational assessments, i.E. Vocational testing, work evaluations, situational assessments, etc.Medical rehabilitation to include (but not limited to) scheduling functional capacity evaluations, work hardening and similar inpatient/outpatient programs, facilitating treatment for substance abuseJob analyses as requested by the Government based on the needs of the assigned caseTransferable skills analysisPlacement, previous employer servicesVocational exploration and labor market surveysPlan development that may include: job seeking skills training; direct job placement; identification of qualification for any special Federal hiring authorities; and on-the- job training or formal training (short-term, refresher, or retraining)Job readiness developmentJob placement services (facilitated and/or supervised by the RC)Specialized ergonomic and job, vehicle and home modification servicesLife care planning services in catastrophic casesServices related to specialized vocational rehabilitation needs and DFEC specialized or pilot projects, and Communicating promptly to the Government all case milestones/activities that require action (i.E.
