Job Duties/Scope Of Work This Co-Op intern will perform a multitude of entry level duties supporting the various elements on the facilities Engineering department. Work activities are expected to include: - Development of technical information through drawing and document research. - Updating databases and engineering configuration management information, field walkdowns, interfacing with personnel both inside and outside of Engineering, and assisting engineers with various general support requests. - Actively learning about the various aspects of Electrical engineering through staff mentoring, focused training, and cross-functional interactions. Basic Qualifications - Candidates should be pursuing a B.S. degree in electrical discipline and demonstrate an interest in learning about electrical engineering, processes, and real-world applications of course work. - This position requires high attention to detail and excellent computer skills. - Must have one college term completed and must be enrolled (currently) as a full-time student, and live within a commutable distance from the work site. While some teleworking may be available, the selected candidate shall expect that their office location may be in the 200E areas of the Hanford Site (which is approximately 25 miles north of Richland, WA). - Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or above. - Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. This is a year-round position. Desired Qualifications - AutoCad experience is desired but not required for consideration. Compensation & Benefits Freshman: $16.60/hr. Sophomore: $18.20/hr. Junior: $24.519/hr. Senior: $28.933/hr. In accordance with the HMIS wage determination process, offers will be made by taking into consideration the degree program the candidate is currently enrolled in or scope of work the position will perform, grade level in school (freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior) as well as the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. The starting rates, and ranges listed (if applicable) represent the full wage scale that maybe offered for this position. In accordance with the Service Contract Act, this position is eligible for the health & welfare adder of up to $4.57 per hour.
