Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Talent Acquisition Coordinator in Richland, Washington

Overview

PNNL’s Human Resources organization is comprised of 90 plus committed professionals working to advance the interests of the lab and support scientific discovery and excellence. We’re looking for an energetic Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordinator to organize and execute work as a member of the TA Team.

Responsibilities

The TA Coordinator will support and assist Recruiters and Hiring Leaders with the following:

  • Work with hiring manager to obtain appropriate information to manage job requisitions.

  • Place internal and external job postings as appropriate.

  • Work with appropriate contacts for background checks and security clearances as necessary.

  • Manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS) activity which includes offer, compensation, and onboarding actions.

  • Maintain and complete the staff requisition process and filing.

  • Provide support to managers, supervisors, and recruiters to ensure application of recruitment practices, programs, policies and regulations.

  • Ensure that job requisition files comply with the requirements set forth by PNNL with an understanding of the underlying OFCCP and legal requirements and maintain electronic documentation.

  • Facilitate the new hire orientation scheduling with HR core staff and support organizations.

  • Enter recruiting data into HR systems, run, and interpret various reports.

  • Provide guidance and training to other administrative staff as needed.

  • Represent PNNL/Battelle in the best possible manner to external and internal applicants.

  • Interface with all levels of PNNL/Battelle management as well being an external contact with potential job candidates/applicants.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant work experience -OR-

  • AA or higher and 4 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with ATS, Candidate Relationship Management (CRM), or recruiting database.

  • Prior experience with iCIMS (Applicant Track).

  • Direct Recruiting Coordinator experience.

  • Understand office support functions and possess the ability to effectively apply procedures, work independently, and direct workflow of others as appropriate.

  • Ability to: use discretion and good judgment; independently make decisions; positively interact with a wide-variety of PNNL staff and clients at all levels; resolve and/or advise management on a wide range of administrative issues; provide training and guidance to less senior or new staff when necessary.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate proficient use of standard office equipment; demonstrate proficient use of MS Office suite; prioritize work, and coordinate calendars/schedules; be responsible for commitments and action items.

  • Ability to identify potential administrative problems/areas for continuous improvement and recommend solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to act in ambiguous situations and demonstrate problem solving skills.

To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a Federal Tier 1 background check investigation. This investigation includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.

Mandatory Requirements

Please be aware that the Department of Energy (DOE) prohibits DOE employees and contractors from having any affiliation with the foreign government of a country DOE has identified as a “country of risk” without explicit approval by DOE and Battelle. Starting pay is calculated from the minimum of the pay range and actual placement in the range is determined based on an individual’s relevant job-related skills, qualifications, and experience.
