Location: Richland, Washington Title: System Administrator III Schedule (FT/PT): Regular Full Time Travel Required: No Clearance: Ability to Obtain North Wind Solutions is a Government contracting small business with operations at military and civilian installations across the United States. The company's focus is facilities operation and maintenance, waste management and radiological services, security control and force protection, and environmental services. POSITION PURPOSE: In support of the North Wind IT Infrastructure organization, this senior level position will be part of a team responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure that includes hardware, software, and cloud service provider components. An in-depth understanding of enterprise environments and supporting infrastructure to ensure enterprise level performance, availability, and security. This role will be a go-to resource providing support, implementation, and design services for other areas of the organization and its customers. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new technical initiatives. Implements new solutions as required by the business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the account management mailbox. Responsible for incident escalation and coordination of resources to resolve issues in a timely manner to meet Service Level Agreement metrics. Create, delete, and modify local and network Active Directory accounts. Create, delete, and modify user home directories on Active Directory file servers. Ensure that rights and privileges granted provide appropriate level of access, populating all required fields in User Accounts Track basic account information including at a minimum: username, user identification, date of creation, and revocation date. If the user is issued enhanced rights (Power User, Admin Rights), track privileges or exceptions, specification of enhancement, approver and date, and revocation date. Provide the ability to query and create reports concerning account inventory. Create, delete and modify Computer Objects Create or modify procedure documentation, and work through other standard documentation processes as needed Support Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations (DR/COOP) exercises, testing and live incidents per procedures and policies MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: BA/BS degree with 5-8 years of Information Technology experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience with infrastructure, and server theories, principles, and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper V) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies. Experience with scripting (PowerShell) or automation tools Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge in account management software Knowledge with DNS, DHCP, DFS, in a Windows landscape Knowledge with Windows Server Operating Systems. Knowledgeable in O365 and its supporting systems (Exchange, Security, Conditional Access Policies). Knowledge in patch management. Mapping the relationship between IT platform/Infrastructure components (i.e. Technology End Users, IT System Software & Hardware and info-Communications Transmission Networks) Identifying the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organization's ability to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets. Maintains security and integrity controls. Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.
