Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager, the IT Systems Administrator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the daily operability of the systems in the data center, across the network, and outsourced. Utilizing specialized technical knowledge, the incumbent will ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of data center/branch server hardware and software.
  2. Assist in planning, designing, and implementing the organization's IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking and security systems.
  3. Assist with the management of Active Directory, Group Policy, DUO, Netapp, VMware and other server related services.
  4. Monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving issues, optimizing system resources and ensuring high availability and reliability of the systems.
  5. Document procedures, configurations, back-up and recovery instructions then create monitors, alerts and performance reports based off documented requirements.
  6. Participate in multiple projects simultaneously and provide feedback that aligns with organizational goals.
  7. Anticipate growth and future capacity requirements and make recommendations to increase capacity as required.
  8. Assist implementation and managing security measures to protect the organization's system and data from cyber threats, including implementing access controls and conducting security audits.
  9. Schedule and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
  10. Provide technical support to end users, troubleshooting issues, and training staff on using IT systems and software.
  11. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with IT system infrastructure components.
  12. Perform configuration changes, conduct log analysis, system hardening, manage and maintain server endpoint security compliance.
  13. Interact with vendors to procure IT equipment, services, support contracts and evaluating vendor products and services.
  14. Work closely with Information Security to ensure that industry best-practices regarding enterprise infrastructure and systems are being applied and comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
