Navarro Inc. Sitewide Consultant Senior Radiological Subject Matter Expert/Auditor #FY23-Q19 in Richland, Washington

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Sitewide Consultant Support Senior Radiological Control Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Auditor in Richland, WA.

The contractor shall provide support in the following areas:

  • Assessments/surveillances, and general oversight of the Plutonium Finishing Plant’s radiological control program, implementation and field execution.

  • Radiological support at other RL and ORP projects and facilities (e.g., Bldg. 324, 105KW, T-Plant, etc.) as directed by DOE Headquarters or as situations dictate within RL and ORP.

  • Radiological control and protection program training.

  • Radiological control program review reports, including formal assessment reports, surveillance reports, and operational awareness reports.

Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.

  • Experience in radiological control protection, extensive auditing and reviews of radiological protection programs.

  • Experience in reviews of radiological programs and implementation of operations and decommissioning of plutonium facilities.

  • Experience in Navy nuclear program or Naval Shipyard radiological control program, preferred.

  • Experience in radiological protection regulations, directives, and standards.

  • Experience in DOE radiological protection regulations, directives, and standards including DOE O 458.1 Radiation Protection of the Public and Environment, 10 CFR 835 Occupational Radiation Protection, and Hanford Radiological Health and Safety Document (Radcon Manual), preferred.

  • Radcon experience.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Experience in supporting oversight of contractors.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Salary Range: $54,000 - $110,000

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
