Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The WRPS mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 56 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. This complex mission spans all competencies of engineering/science accomplished through a highly integrated organization engineering organization. WRPS was identified as "One of America's Safest Companies" in 2020; and was the recipient of the 2021 "Employee of the Year" by the Association of Washington Businesses.
WRPS in seeking a Contractor Assurance Senior Technical Advisor for general tasks for all Performance Assurance programs, providing technical support to the line organizations.
The Contractor Assurance Senior Technical Advisor will:
General:
Coordinate corrective action management.
Collaborate with counterparts across the Hanford Complex.
Manage and obtain concurrence by influence.
Develop and provide various Contractor Assurance related presentations to senior leadership and workforce, as requested by management.
Develop and implement program communication methods to support change management and continuous improvement.
Ensure Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) principles are incorporated into organization's activities.
Maintain a positive relationship with internal and external customers.
Perform self-critical program assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
Provide professional judgement in resolution of issues.
Programmatic process improvements/procedure/charter updates. Work with the Corrective Action and Performance Assurance teams in improving the currents processes and procedures (e.g. templates, examples, and guidelines).
Promote use of statistical data analysis to support process improvement, cost savings, and cost avoidance.
Perform annual Contractor Assurance Effectiveness Assessment.
Perform Special Projects per management direction.
Cause Analysis field integration:
Coordinate with those in the field performing Cause Analysis and the Corrective Action Team in the development of Causal Analysis to ensure quality deliverables.
Provide technical assistance to those performing Cause Analysis.
Performance of causal analysis, as required and per manager's direction.
Provide technical assistance to the Corrective Action Team in the development of Causal Analysis Interviewing techniques.
Act as the backup to the existing Causal Analysis Program lead, including delivery of causal analysis training sessions.
Software and Applications project management/administration to include:
Identify opportunities for data automation and integration to ensure accurate and complete data is available for decision making across WRPS.
Coordinate and oversee continuous software improvement/automation where applicable. (e.g. iCAS, Power BI, DOORS)
Coordinate and oversee software or application upgrades/initiatives for the Contractor Assurance team, (e.g. iCAS, Power BI, DOORS)
Required Qualifications
Grade 21:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field; and twelve (12) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 22:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field; and fifteen (15) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Must be proficient in performing causal analysis (apparent and root).
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Public speaking ability to develop and deliver a clear message to large groups or tailor to a specific audience.
Proficient with written communication.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiar with project management techniques.
Desired Qualifications
Familiar with iCAS, Power BI and DOORS.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Project Management certification.
Trained and experienced with facilitation and/or mediation.
WRPS Root Cause Qualified.
Previous experience in a DOE environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 21:
Hiring Range Minimum: $135,188
Hiring Range Maximum: $170,463
Grade 22:
Hiring Range Minimum: $151,700
Hiring Range Maximum: $199,600

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
