System One Senior Project Manager in Richland, Washington

System One's client has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager at their location in Richland, Washington. *NOTE: To be considered, candidates must be local to the Richland, WA area.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides project leadership for moderately complex single product line projects.

  • Prepares project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.

  • Utilizes approved project management methods and processes.

  • Provides primary interface between project team, management and client.

  • Develops assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.

  • Coordinates multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance.

  • Defines and forecasts needed skills to meet project objectives.

  • Manages cash flow and ensures attainment of expected cash position.

  • Expected to achieve and continue to maintain PM Certification

    Performs Project Manufacturing Management duties including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring efficient interfaces between the Fuel Operations and Components Operations Departments and other Fuel Departments such as C&S, Fuel Design (FD), and Fuel Supply Chain (FS).

  • Interact and communicate with Project Managers and customers for manufacturing contracts.

  • Coordinate technical (manufacturability) to support PMs with feasibility studies and/or with bid processes.

  • Document and track results/concerns from customer visits in surveillance reports.

    Required Experience:

    All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of related work experience or experience in lieu of degree.

  • 4 years of project-related experience is required. Advanced degrees may substitute for years of related experience.

    Highly preferred skills are:

  • Knowledge of major PM plan development, implementation

  • Good knowledge of nuclear safety issues and requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff & management

  • Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis

  • Excellent report development and presentation skills.

    Compensation & benefits:

    The hourly base pay rate for this position is between $67.30/hr - $89.51/hr and may include additional benefits.

    *Please note the base hourly pay rate range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
