  • Job #7824 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Senior Project Manager - Nuclear position will independently manage high-risk, multidisciplinary projects, leading teams. This role will be planning, scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring project execution aligns with safety and quality standards. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $58.90 - $102.38 Benefits:

  • Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work as assigned.
  • Provide oversight of staff involved in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring to ensure work is implemented safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution.
  • Resolve schedule delays and conflicts.
  • Develop project budgets and track costs versus budget for assigned projects.
  • Assure proper progress and focus through frequent interface with the client, engineers, related parties, and management.
  • Develop and manage contracts.
  • Interface with vendors.
  • Develop project schedules commensurate with project complexity and size.
  • Manage risk, accurately track progress, enforce accountability, and manage critical path and float.
  • Mentor less experienced project managers.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.
  • Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.
  • Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
  • Provide outage support, including support for the Outage Control Center (OCC). Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university and twenty years of experience in a technical field;
  • OR AA/AS degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university and twenty-two years of experience in a technical field;
  • OR High School Diploma or GED and twenty-four years of experience in a technical field.
  • An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of two years of experience.
  • RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification is required.
  • Project Management certification is required.
  • Advanced degree in a related field of study or business is desired but not required.
  • Construction Management Certification.
  • Extensive work experience as a direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry environment, focused on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
  • Nuclear plant operator production coordination experience, work management experience in conducting and coordinating plant production work.
  • Successful completion of an Expert Panel Interview (oral board).
