ANR Group Inc is accepting resumes for a Senior Piping Designer Located in Richland, WA.

Initially anticipated to be a one-year assignment with the potential for extension. The hourly rate range for this position is $34-$74 per hour (plus full benefits) with overtime paid at time and ½ for hours worked over 40 in one week. Client allows for reimbursement of mobilization, daily per diem and M&IE, monthly trips home and demobilization.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- SPECIFIC

• Essential duties include performing 3D modeling of piping and equipment in a 3D model environment and preparation of 2D drawings/documents for General Arrangements and piping isometrics drawings.
• Assist with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc. with other physical related disciplines.
• Support planning and scheduling and prepare/maintain design procedures, standards to provide quality design documents as directed.
• Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of piping designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc. and perform reviews of engineering documents.

• Advanced knowledge of piping codes such as ASME B31.3 or B31.1

   

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Significant hands-on experience using in a 3D piping design platform and experience using a 3D isometric extraction program. Extensive knowledge & application of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes
• Grade education/experience included:

Grade 25 - AA/AS/Cert with 8 years of related design experience; or 12 years related design experience

Grade 26 - AA/AS/Cert with 11 years of related design experience; or 15 years related design experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* *

• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
• Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
• Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on use of Bentley PlantSpace Design Series for piping design

• Previous DOD or DOE project experience
