MPF Federal, LLC Senior Engineer - AMRP in Richland, Washington
MPF Federal, LLC, a government contractor, has an opening for a Senior Engineer supporting the AMRP with the Department of Energy at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Assess Hanford prime contractors technological approach associated with the project work scopes.
Assist with reviewing and evaluating the design reports associated with the waste site project work scope.
Assist with reviewing and evaluating the contractor’s design reports and Critical Decision packages associated with the Project capital asset work scope.
Assist with reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating baseline schedules and costs associated with the project work scopes.
Assist with reviewing and evaluating technical and regulatory issues associated with the project work scopes.
Assist with reviewing and evaluating risk associated with the project work scopes.
Assist with tracking and analyzing contractor risk identification and risk mitigations. Provide results to the project risk analyst as input for updates to the Risk Report.
Provide insight and expertise on the Project Execution Plan and Risk Management Plan.
Support development of the DOE Independent Government Estimate in the Hanford Life Cycle Baseline schedule.
Assist with development of the resource-loaded, logic-driven lifecycle schedule.
Provide routine reports to document oversight of field activities.
Provide oversight of system and component testing (developmental, acceptance, qualification, etc.), commissioning, and operational readiness preparations.
Assist with technical validation reviews of project milestone completion requests.
Objectively assess technologies and determine associated technology readiness levels.
Coordinate technology readiness preparations for critical decisions of a nuclear project under the requirements of DOE Order 413.3B.
Complete required training (e.g., HGET, Radiation Worker, etc.) to access the work areas as needed to complete assigned tasks.
Provide status reports of contractor performance to the responsible Project lead and the Federal Project Director.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. Ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. Submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade E3:
Master's Degree, preferably with a Technical Engineering Degree
10-11 years' experience in the Nuclear Field
Grade E4:
Master's Degree, preferably with a Technical Engineering Degree
12-14 years' experience, at least 10 in Nuclear Field
Grade E5:
Master's Degree, preferably with a Technical Engineering Degree
15+ years' experience , at least 10 in Nuclear Field
Requirements for all Grades:
Management experience of nuclear work scope at other DOE or DOD facilities.
General knowledge of the Hanford site, preferred.
Knowledge of Operational Readiness preparations for startup of nuclear facilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skilled in problem identification and resolution.
Professional engineering certification, preferred.
U.S. citizenship.
Compensation and Benefits:
Grade E3:
Hiring Range Minimum: $101,000
Hiring Range Maximum: $129,000
Grade E4:
Hiring Range Minimum: $125,000
Hiring Range Maximum: $155,000
Grade E5:
Hiring Range Minimum: $150,000
Hiring Range Maximum: $165,000
