The hourly rate range for this position is $42-$63 per hour (plus full benefits). This position is initially expected to be a one year assignment, with the potential for extension.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- SPECIFIC

The Senior Business Case Analyst will play a critical role in shaping strategic decisions and driving business performance by conducting comprehensive analyses and developing robust business cases. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in business analysis, financial modeling, and stakeholder management. The Senior Business Case Analyst will work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that business cases align with organizational goals and deliver value.

Business Case Development:

  • Lead the creation and evaluation of business cases for strategic initiatives, projects, and investments.
  • Develop detailed financial models and forecasts to support business cases, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, identify potential impacts, and propose solutions.

Strategic Analysis:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business case development and strategic planning.
  • Analyze business processes and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, present analysis, and obtain buy-in for business cases.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of initiatives.

Project Oversight:

  • Oversee the implementation of approved business cases, ensuring that projects are executed according to plan and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of initiatives, identifying and addressing issues or deviations from the business case.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of business case templates, tools, and processes.

Other:

  • Key risk indicator and performance indicator development.
  • Business case performance reporting and trending.
  • Other analytics, benchmarking, and research as assigned.

     

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business analysis, financial modeling, or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and presenting business cases that supported effective business decisions and resource allocation.

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including Excel and other analytical tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
