Hanford Mission Integration Solutions Security Specialist (39141) in Richland, Washington

Job Duties/Scope Of Work Provide corrective action management duties for the Safeguards and Security Program in the following topical areas: information security, physical security, protective forces, personnel security, material control and accountability, and program management. *Review and understand federal directives, contract requirements, and procedures associated with Safeguards and Security programs. *Coordinate with designated Safeguards and Security and Other Hanford Contractors (OHCs) POCs on issues brought to the Sensitive Issues Tracking System (SITS). *Act as the administrator of the SITS application. *Provide causal analysis and root cause analysis of issues per the request of the responsible manager of the issue. *Provide support for Quarterly reporting in the Safeguards and Security Information Management Systems (SSIMS) for issues management for HMIS and the OHC with Safeguards and Security issues. Basic Qualifications *Bachelor's degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability for writing concisely and clearly are required. *Experience with Microsoft Office products. **Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance. Any offer of employment is contingent on the applicant passing a background investigation. As part of the investigation, Federal investigators will examine many aspects of the applicant's past including: financial and criminal histories, mental and emotional health, education and travel, drug and alcohol usage, personal and organizational relationships, as well as other aspects of the applicant's background. Desired Qualifications *Prior work experience in handling classified information. *Corrective action management and causal/root cause analysis activities. *Prior work experience with DOE Causal Analysis techniques/strategies. *Completion of DOE National Training Center class on Basic Survey. *Knowledge of Safeguards and Security concepts, Department of Energy directives, and contractor policies and procedures as they relate to the Hanford Site.
