Kadlec Regional Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk to join our growing Materials Management team located in Richland, Washington!

Shift Details: 1.0 FTE, Full time, Days

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment, preferably one in which an electronic inventory management system was used

  • Medical materials management experience

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Receiving Clerk you are responsible for the accurate receipt of all supplies and equipment for all Kadlec Campuses. Inspects the integrity and verifies the counts against the shipper's documents and notes any damages or shortages. Files claims and works with buyers to recoup losses. Ensures that all supplies and equipment are identified for delivery or dispatched to the correct department or location. Manages the stores incoming supplies using the FIFO method or oldest expiration out first. Accurately enters all receiving data into the computer system on a daily basis. Contributes to the team approach to all relevant problems, issues, and opportunities. Is capable of effectively directing others to perform tasks when necessary to complete the job in a timely manner. Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Provide written verification identifying all incoming and outgoing freight.

  • Pack, unpack, inspect, count, verify against packing slip, match to purchase order, and enter data into the MM system for all incoming shipments.

  • Examine and document all incoming freight for damage claims and shortages. Notifies buyer, vendor, and department of any damage or shortage and files any necessary claims.

  • Follow up on all claims to ensure timely resolution and reports monthly status to MM department Supervisor.

  • Provide written documentation of freight dispersal for tracking and verification of delivery by PO number, company name, ordering department, title and contents.

  • Provide tagging of items received to provide routing to the proper department or destination.

  • Process shipping of all outbound merchandise, freight, or equipment from Kadlec Regional Medical Center using the most economical method for the desired delivery requirement.
