This individual will provide project management and field execution engineering expertise to the 100K Closure Projects Manager in support of planning and implementation of activities for deactivation and demolition (D&D) of the 105-K West (KW) Fuel Storage Basin and 100K ancillary facilities; remediation of chemical and radioactive contaminated waste sites at 100K; and placement of the KW Reactor in interim safe storage.In this role, integration with peer project managers, engineering, facility operations and maintenance staff is of critical importance from a project teamwork and completeness of execution perspective. The ability to tactfully and effectively communicate both upward and downward, while ensuring that commitments are kept, is essential for individual and team success.A day in the life of a Project Manager will include:* Foster safety and compliance with requirements by routinely monitoring work to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.* Work with the Project Controls Department to monitor all aspects of project cost, schedule and risk to ensure the project is managed in strict accordance with company Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements.* Oversee and champion work package development critical to supporting project field activities.
