CTG Project Manager I - Nuclear Projects in Richland, Washington
CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager I - Nuclear Projects opening for our client in Richland, WA.
Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, providing oversight of the team involved in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring project execution.
Ensure all work is implemented safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking costs versus budget for assigned projects.
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring accurate tracking of progress, enforcing accountability, and managing critical path and float.
Interface with clients, engineers, vendors, and management to ensure proper progress and focus.
Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies for assigned projects.
Coordinate and manage contracts, including interfacing with vendors.
Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.
Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
Provide outage support, including coordination of operations and control center activities.
Skills:
Proficiency in standard project management techniques.
Strong understanding of error reduction and human performance improvement methods.
Familiarity with work execution methodologies focused on cost-effective and efficient project management.
Expertise in managing on-line work, refueling outages, and forced outage management activities.
Ability to develop and manage project budgets and schedules, with a focus on risk management and accountability.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in a technical field with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field, OR
10+ years of experience in a technical field with an Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field, OR
12+ years of experience in a technical field with a High School Diploma/GED.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university, OR
Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical field, OR
High School Diploma/GED with extensive experience in a technical field.
Desired Education and Experience:
RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification.
Project Management Certification.
Construction Management Certification.
Experience in a supervisory or project manager role within the commercial nuclear industry, focusing on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
Nuclear plant operator production coordination experience, including work management and plant production coordination.
Required Abilities and Skills:
Strong knowledge of error reduction and human performance improvement techniques.
Experience in managing projects, online work management, or refueling and forced outage management activities.
Familiarity with standard project management techniques and practices.
Desired Abilities and Skills:
Experience working in a Commercial Nuclear Power Plant or similar facility.
Proficiency in project management software and budget processes.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and codes related to maintenance and engineering activities.
Familiarity with procedures and processes for maintenance and engineering activities.
Skilled in software programs like Passport and MS Office.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50/hr to $83/hr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
