A Pipeline Designer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This position involves 3D modeling of piping and equipment, preparing 2D drawings, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ing advanced knowledge of ASME piping codes, with a focus on ensuring high-quality design documents for construction and engineering projects.

responsibilities:

• Perform 3D modeling of piping and equipment in a 3D model environment.

• Prepare 2D drawings/documents for General Arrangements and piping isometrics.

• Assist with coordination of 3D model activities (input, interference reconciliation, etc.) with other physical disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support planning and scheduling efforts.

• Prepare and maintain design procedures and standards to ensure quality design documents.

• Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction teams, and suppliers.

• Prepare piping designs for model/space control.

• Perform reviews of engineering documents.

• Apply advanced knowledge of piping codes (ASME B31.3 or B31.1).

Basic Qualifications:

• Significant hands-on experience with a 3D piping design platform.

• Experience with 3D isometric extraction programs.

• Extensive knowledge of and ability to ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes.

Grade Education/Experience Requirements:

• Grade 25: AA/AS/Cert with 8 years of related design experience; or 12 years of related design experience.

• Grade 26: AA/AS/Cert with 11 years of related design experience; or 15 years of related design experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Bentley PlantSpace Design Series or other Bentley 3D modeling applications.

• Previous experience with the company, Department of Defense (DOD), or Department of Energy (DOE) projects.
