Hanford Mission Integration Solutions Operations Specialist (39357) in Richland, Washington
Job Duties/Scope Of Work The Information Management Work Management Services Operations Specialist will play a critical role in the development and coordination of Field Support Services Department operational, maintenance and reliability project support activities. The Operations Specialist works independently and collaboratively with the Field Support Services Operations Manager and staff to plan and implement activities in the following areas: operations support, requirements applicability and implementation, corrective action management, conduct of operations, research and evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of requirements implementation. Other responsibilities include supporting communications activities and helping maintain partnerships to advance the mission of the IT Infrastructure Services Department. Specific job duties include, but are not limited to: -Provide Subject Matter Expertise relating to both Hanford site Commercial and Emergency Radio Systems (Examples: Motorola & Kenwood). -Provide input in the development of preventative and corrective maintenance work packages involving wireless technologies. -Manage radio inventory accounting and reporting. -Initiate review and analysis of LMR technology; facilitate meetings and coordinate upgrades and support with Field Support Services and Sr. Leadership teams. -Perform Pre-Job walk downs to determine procedure and work package adequacy. -Identify and manage system configuration control requirements. -Provide Rough Order of Magnitude estimates to customer for specific IT and Radio based upgrades, and projects. -Propose system upgrades and input to wireless technology roadmaps developed by HMIS Information Management. -Monitor and address system outages and noncompliance issues. -Manages service ticket submissions, tracking, and closing requests related to discrepancies and/or work packages to ensure procedural compliance, and coordinates with PM Coordinators and Work Control Planners for addressing non-compliance issues. Basic Qualifications -BA/BS plus 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in IT operations disciplines. -Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. -Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for business operations. -Exhibits a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks. -Must possess ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to changing work demands and conflicting priorities. Desired Qualifications -Demonstrated work experience of VHF/UHF conventional and digital radio systems, repeaters, base stations land mobile radios, dispatch consoles links, antenna systems and transmission sites. -Previous IT Facilities, and/or Utilities experience. -Strong understanding of P25 trunking systems. -Experience/knowledge using/navigating design software such as AutoCAD.
