Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for an Operations Metrics Administrator in Richland, WA.

This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

The Operations Metrics Administrator performs a variety of specialized administrative tasks (Metrics) in support of Production Control management and staff in discipline specific areas such as Maintenance and Operations. The variety of tasks include, but are not limited to, creating and/or updating spreadsheets for various metrics, tracking and monitoring data, preparing reports and presentations, updating internal databases/websites, and maintaining electronic and/or hard copy files. Maintains sensitivity of confidential business or personal information.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Production Control to gather information to develop various metrics to support tracking Maintenance and Operations work efficiency. Metrics will precisely track resource usage, work completion vs. work scheduled, and the reasons why work was not performed/completed as scheduled.

  • Develop metrics to track the use of various craft resources supporting the completion of scheduled maintenance activities and other work activities scheduled on the Plan of the Week (POW) and Plan of the Day (POD).

  • Develop various metrics (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.) as directed to track the percentage of craft resources assigned daily to Training, Paid Time Off (PTO), Analytical Operations Support, Facility Operations Support, rotational training, etc.

  • Develop metrics to show breakdown of work that was not completed as scheduled due to lack of craft support, lack of material, call-ins (sick, etc.), work package issues, lack of inter-contractor support, incompatible plant configuration, etc.

  • Obtain 5-week report from Operations Administrator for input to develop metrics for breakdowns of each craft to show craft resources (workers) available for upcoming weeks work.

  • Attend Daily, Weekly, and other meetings as assigned to gather information/data to support development of metrics desired by Facility Operations Director.

  • Develop/complete metrics to support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as directed.

  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.

  • Communicate verbally and in writing with all employees.

  • Refer matters to appropriate staff and/or management for further resolution and follow up as appropriate.

  • Provide suggestions for and assist in implementing process improvements.

  • Understand and apply departmental and company policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments and/or outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data of moderate importance to the function of the department which may be of a sensitive nature.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 8-10 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Working knowledge of commonly used computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, internal software and/or internal organization business systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete tasks.

  • Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Working knowledge in the use of related business systems and software.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Grade 6: $52,150 - $65,750

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
