Location: Richland, Washington * Type: Contract * Job #8101 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Occupational Health Nurse position will oversee and manage the administrative and operational activities of occupational health services. Responsibilities include developing, administering, and monitoring medical examination programs, conducting medical tests and procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The role also involves managing staffing, processes, customer service, and quality improvement within health services. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $36.93 - $50.88 Benefits: * Sick Leave: One hour of paid sick leave for every 40-hours worked (sick leave can be used after 90-days of employment) * EAP: Employee Assistance Program * Benefit Options: Medical, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (eligible after one year and 1,000 hours worked - employer match up to 4%) * Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: * Develop and administer occupational health services in alignment with company policies, regulations, and objectives. * Oversee the operational activities of health services, including staffing, competency, and quality improvement. * Manage medical examination programs, including conducting and analyzing employee medical tests and procedures. * Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NRC, OSHA, NIOSH). * Secure and develop all records, equipment, and programs related to occupational health services. * Collaborate with external healthcare providers, third-party administrators, and regulatory agencies. * Provide or manage physical evaluation programs to meet regulatory standards (e.g., NRC, OSHA, DOT). * Guide referrals to outside healthcare providers and services. * Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and illnesses, providing emergent care when necessary. * Supervise contract and temporary health services staff, offering direction and technical advice. * Contribute to injury prevention, health surveillance, and root cause analysis of incidents. * Collaborate with various departments to develop health programs and services. * Identify and implement health promotion and prevention strategies, including ergonomic assessments. * Manage workers' compensation and disability cases, ensuring appropriate care and return to work. * Assess healthcare needs and implement programs to improve health and facilitate return to work. * Assist HR with accommodations and return-to-work options for workers with restricted duty. Requirements: * 5 years of nursing experience and an active Washington State Registered Nurse license required. * Must obtain and maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COCH), and NIOSH Approved Spirometry & Respiratory training within one year. * Education may substitute up to four years of experience. * Bachelor's degree in nursing, with certification in occupational health nursing, occupational health & safety, or case management preferred. * Knowledge of current nursing care for injuries/illnesses, history-taking, and physical assessments. * Familiarity with state and federal occupational safety and health regulations, workers' compensation management. * Ability to interpret health and safety documents, write routine reports. * Basic math skills for calculations in various units of measure. * Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Proficiency in computer To view the full job description,
