Hanford Mission Integration Solutions Manager (39962) in Richland, Washington
Job Duties/Scope Of Work Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) is looking for an experienced Manager for its Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) group that supports the Hanford Site including the Department of Energy (DOE) and its contractors. The Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and people management of the GIS program. This program consists of using Esri tools such as ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and other software tools such as Adobe and AutoCAD to develop GIS solutions for the site. Some examples of solutions requested are GIS map integration into applications, mapping and directions, EOC GIS Map support, GIS information sharing, arial and UAV image data, and cutting-edge AI and GIS deep learning projects. Additionally, this program works closely with our EDM (Enterprise Data Management), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), Power Platform programs, and Product Management teams to ensure the optimal solution is identified and implemented for said solutions. This position is a mission critical player within the organization, supporting the One Hanford mission. The selected candidate will develop and implement the strategic direction of the GIS program. This is accomplished via collaboration with stakeholders across the site, the HMIS IM team, and executive management. The candidate will also be responsible for oversight of the GIS program including leading development and reporting activities, operations &maintenance (O&M) of the existing GIS applications/solutions, and both current and future program deliverables. • Provides management and oversight for the operational support and maintenance for existing geospatial information solutions. • Manages project managers, GIS personnel, and developers supporting the geospatial information solutions. • Leads the vision for the future of the Geospatial Information program. • Leads efforts to stay up to date on latest innovations in the field of geospatial information technology and industry practices. • Keep senior management informed on current and projected geospatial information solutions and strategy. • Manage incoming customer and project requests and prioritize accordingly. • Maintain strong collaborative interface with Hanford site stakeholders. • Communicating technical direction to subcontractor, monitoring subcontractor performance, milestones, deliverables/submittals and supporting invoice reviews upon request. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in geographic information, engineering, business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. •Experience in GIS, land management, or environmental field support experience in either industry or at the federal level. • Experience building GIS solutions or directing/project managing GIS, land management, or environmental field support work. • Must possess the ability to interface well with technical customers, business-oriented teaming partners, and infrastructure and integration teams to deliver value added solutions. • Strong presentation and communication skills. • Must be a team player. Desired Qualifications • Project Management experience, including a PMP certification. • Advanced Degree in related field. • Previous program management level experience. • Buyer's technical representative experience. • Experience working with Esri Platforms (AGO, ArcGIS Enterprise).
