Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Day Shift)

Job Description

The Facilities & Preventative Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the preventative maintenance of equipment, coordinating facility upgrades, and managing routine facilities tasks to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role requires excellent organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.

  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and address them proactively.

  • Coordinate and oversee facility upgrades, including renovations, repairs, and installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Manage and schedule routine facilities tasks such as cleaning, waste disposal, landscaping, and other maintenance services.

  • Work closely with vendors, contractors, and service providers to obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and facility improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to equipment and facilities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to address facility-related needs and support company operations.

  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, recommending cost-effective solutions for facility improvements and maintenance needs.

  • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all facilities operations.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance coordination, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of equipment maintenance best practices and facility management principles.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and other relevant tools.

  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards related to facilities and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical experience or certifications in maintenance or facilities management.

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment and facility issues effectively.

  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization strategies.

Work Environment

Works in office space, supply room, laboratory, and/or clean room environments. Frequent exposure to hazardous materials requiring appropriate PPE and precautions. Requires frequent finite hand/eye coordination. Largely a stationary role with some moving from place to place. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and other office equipment. Frequent use of laboratory and manufacturing equipment. Frequently picks up, carries, and moves items up to 50 lbs. Some evening and weekend work depending upon workload. Some overnight travel may be required for work and events.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Richland, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
