Job Description Summary Monitors and maintains the cutting equipment by performing the following duties. Job Description Individuals in this position must: * Participate in all plant safety programs. Actively engaged in safety, participating in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrating ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. * Know basic operation of cutter deck equipment and the ability to start, stop, and clear stoppages for the CCLs, Lamb Guns, & Welliver Sizer. * Know and follow lock out/tag out procedures for assigned work area. * Maintain floors, catwalks, handrails and other walkways in a clean and safe manner. Could include shoveling potatoes. * Perform sanitation activities. * Follow good housekeeping practices and GMPs. * Wear required PPE. * Report all incidents, near misses, and any safety concerns. * Inspect and remove foreign material. Follow up with proper notification to Blade Sharpener. * Other duties may be assigned Basic & Preferred Qualifications Qualifications & Experience The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job. To successfully perform this job and individual must: * Sanitation qualified is required. If not, training will be provided. * Must be Lock Out/Tag Out qualified. If not, training will be provided. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Skills Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. * The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. * The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. * The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb (stairs and/or ladders) or balance. * The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. * The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
