Job Responsibilities/Duties

Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is looking for Industrial Hygienists to support field operations. It is important to promote a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the WRPS mission, vision, and values, based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

The Industrial Hygienist will provide direct support in work planning and coordination, hazard recognition, identification, and control, along with oversite of sampling and monitoring activities. Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for communicating sampling requirements to Industrial Hygiene Technicians and sampling results to field workers and management. Additionally, Industrial Hygienists will be accountable for review and analysis of sampling results and decision making based on the analysis.

They will ensure the requisite level of conduct of operations, safety management program implementation, and regulatory compliance in the planning and execution of work activities. As such, Industrial Hygienists are anticipated to provide job oversite to ensure compliance to hazard mitigation controls, and must maintain qualifications for a hazardous work environment, including 40 HAZWOPER, Rad Worker II and maintain respirator qualifications. Routine field time is expected.

Required Qualifications

Grade 16:

BA/BS degree in related discipline (example: Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology or Business Management) and Two (2) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Grade 17:

BA/BS degree in related discipline (example: Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology or Business Management) and Five (5) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Grade 18:

BA/BS degree in related discipline (example: Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology or Business Management) and Seven (7) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.

Desired Qualifications

CIH or CSP credentials

Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking skills and teamwork mentality

Ability to interact with various stake holders, including senior management

Experience in Conflict Resolution

Organizational skills

Experienced with Microsoft Suite

Tank Farm field experience

Compensation & Benefits

Grade 16:

Hiring Range Minimum: $86,138

Hiring Range Maximum: $108,513

Grade 17:

Hiring Range Minimum: $94,650

Hiring Range Maximum: $119,250

Grade 18:

Hiring Range Minimum: $104,175

Hiring Range Maximum: $131,425

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
