As the HR Assistant you will work with the HR Business Partner to perform a variety of duties in support of human resource (HR) services and programs for WSU Tri-Cities. You will serve as a primary point of contact for classified and exempt staff, and academic and administrative departments, applying established human resource guidelines, rules, policies, and procedures in the areas of:

 

• Recruitment

 

• Classification and compensation

 

• Preparing a variety employment documentation

 

• Administering the WSU background check program

 

• Other HR processes and procedures

 

In addition to ensuring electronic and physical records are accurately maintained, you will assist the HR Business Partner in updating and maintaining HR resources, preparing information and document related to performance management, preparing reports and presentations, and communicating with employees and management.

 

While WSU Tri-Cities is primarily supported by an onsite Human Resource Business Partner and Human Resource Assistant, you will be part of the university wide Human Resource Services team with colleagues and support available at the other WSU campuses.

 

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position.

 

This position is located on the WSU Tri-Cities campus in Richland, Washington.

 

Monthly Salary:

 

Range 36 | $3,075 to $4,072 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28.

 

In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
