Job Duties/Scope Of Work The Condition Assessment Survey (CAS) Inspector performs Real Property inspections at the Inspection Unit (IU) level and therefore needs to be knowledgeable of the working status for buildings, trailers, and other structures and facilities. Job duties include: - The Condition Assessment Survey Inspector will perform surveys of facilities condition based on the DOE Real Property Maintenance Order. They will document repair needs and upload results into the Condition Assessment Information System (CAIS). -The CAS Inspector will perform Functionally Assessments on facilities to document the operational adequacy for the given mission. - Coordinate with Other Hanford Contractors for their facility CAS inspections and functionality assessments. - Maintain a working relationship with HMIS organizations, including but not limited to; Electric and Water Utilities, HAMMER, General Purpose Facilities, Fire, Security, and Met and Seismic facilities. - Responsible for field verification and communicates with HMIS Property to ensure Sunflower records are current and accurate. - Support the Facilities Information Management System (FIMS) annual validation and reporting by preparing and communicating facility Condition Assessments Surveys Inspections, Functionality Assessments, repair needs, and deferred maintenance work scope. - Works with other Condition Assessments Survey inspectors to provide complete coverage for the Facilities Information Management Systems (FIMS), Hanford Site Structure List and Other Structures. Basic Qualifications • BA/BS degree, plus five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. • Experience with facility maintenance and building inspections. • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Experience with customized computer application. • Exceptionally strong organization, written, and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interface with craft, management and construction. • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments. • Manage a high volume of work with changing conditions. • Ability to walk on uneven or unimproved ground on the Hanford Site and perform area and facility surveys/investigations by car or on foot. Desired Qualifications • Working knowledge of DOE O 430.1C Real Property Asset Management and experience working with data and asset management applications and systems. • Experience using DOE applications such as Integrated Document Management System (IDMS), Document Management & Control System (DMCS), Sunflower databases or a similar application used to track assets or evaluate property/assets. Compensation & Benefits The grade level for this position will be predicated on the successful candidate's level of experience and ability to perform the essential duties of this position, based on the criteria above.
