Location: Richland, WA Type: Contract Job #7615 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Engineer Principal role will perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, audit inspections, and assessments requiring skills and experience gained through application of engineering methods and analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. This position will leverage deep expertise in engineering methods, codes, standards, and regulations to deliver critical analyses and designs that support successful project execution and regulatory compliance. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Work with minimal supervision. Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements. Solutions provided involve unconventional or innovative program solving techniques. Provide technical leadership and training on highly complex or extended projects. Tasks typically involve highly complex problem-solving techniques and require advanced application of practices and methodologies. Provide leadership of small groups to resolve complex issues. Available guidance generally does not exist to fit problems encountered and advanced technological skills are required to provide solutions. Provide technical direction and leadership routinely to other engineers; serve as a mentor. Provide training to others. Identify need and initiate development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives. Assure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance. Provide interpretation of industry guidance for application. Identify potential problems in design, quality, or operation and initiate corrective action in accordance with plant Condition Report (CR) process. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 8 years of engineering experience, plus 1 diverse assignment; OR a high school diploma or GED and PE license obtained by accredited examination plus 8 years of engineering experience and 1 diverse assignment. Knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories, and methods to identify and solve the highest complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses. Advanced technical knowledge of related disciplines is required. Must maintain current knowledge of industry developments and applications to the company. Two diverse assignments are preferred. SRO or Plant Certification is desirable. PE license is preferred. Experience with Medium Voltage switchgear, 4kV electrical bus structures, advanced relay and protection is desired. Experience in Nuclear design process is a plus. Previous experience with the Standard Design Process and Digital Design Process are desired.
