CTG Engineer Principal in Richland, Washington

CTG is seeking to fill an Engineer Principal opening for our client in Richland, WA.

Location: Richland, WA

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Provide technical leadership and accountability in ensuring the technical adequacy and appropriateness of all engineering activities within the assigned discipline.

  • Serve as a key technical resource, solving problems beyond the scope of typical issues encountered, based on extensive engineering experience.

  • Maintain primary responsibility for compliance with design bases requirements and the proper application of engineering methods in design and analysis.

  • Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs to support operations, systems, programs, audits, inspections, and assessments, ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Advise on specialized or unique engineering issues, applying unconventional or innovative problem-solving techniques.

  • Lead small groups in resolving complex issues, applying advanced technological skills and methodologies.

  • Provide mentorship and technical direction to other engineers, including training on highly complex projects.

  • Identify the need for and initiate the development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance, interpreting these for application within the organization.

  • Identify and initiate corrective actions in response to design, quality, or operational issues via the plant Condition Report (CR) process.

  • Nuclear Digital Design Process

  • SEL relay selection, design, programming, and testing

  • Medium 4kV switchgear replacement

Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution and eight years of engineering experience, including one diverse assignment, OR a high school diploma/GED and PE license plus eight years of engineering experience and one diverse assignment.

  • In-depth knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, theories, and methods to solve complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses.

  • Advanced technical knowledge in related engineering disciplines.

  • Knowledge of industry developments and applications relevant to the engineering discipline.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience as described above.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $254, 000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
