Our Mission:Benton Franklin Head Start partners with families and the community to promote school readiness through comprehensive services for young children and their families.Early Head Start School Readiness CoachBilingual/ Bi-literate/ English/Spanish PreferredDESCRIPTION: The Early Head Start School Readiness Coach shall serve as a mentor/coach to the Early Head Start teaching staff; implement and guide the comprehensive child development program that meets the Head Start ProgramPerformance Standards for Early Head Start; apply professional expertise in monitoring, consulting andcoaching, and ensure services are made available in a courteous and professional manner.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or child development field or,A Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 30 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education and;Knowledge and experience in child development and early childhood education; the principles of child health, safety, and nutrition; adult learning principles, family dynamics and family advocacy.Work experience as a teacher in a program serving infants and toddlers.Ability to communicate and provide presentations to large groups.Excellent oral, written, and computer communication skills.Working knowledge of local community resources related to specialty areas.Ability to provide compliance monitoring in a proactive and supportive manner.Ability to demonstrate proficient computer skills.Bilingual/Bi-literate English/Spanish preferred.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to demonstrate sound decision making.Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.Good interpersonal skills essential.Must possess a valid driver’s license, provide proof of current liability automobile insurance, maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (insurable by the Agency’s insurance carrier), and ability to provide own reliable transportation.Sensitive to the needs of young children; willing and able to relate to children and adults from all ethnic, racial, religious, or socioeconomic backgrounds.Governor Inslee mandated that all early learning employees be vaccinated against COVID-19.
