At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. To achieve our mission, we need exceptionally talented, innovative, and driven people to help us reduce risks on the Hanford Site by removing some of the most hazardous waste streams and facilities in the Department of Energy (DOE) complex. Our RAD Protection Programs organization is seeking a Co-Op Rad Protection student who has the desire to gain valuable, real-world experience related to Radiological Protection. The RadCon Co-Op duties may include the following, but not limited to: * Assist reviewing radiological work records, procedures, technical documents for editorial or graphical issues. * Assist in creating/maintaining power point presentations, excel and word documents. * Assist in gathering and reviewing radiological work records to support monthly/annual reports. * Maintain weekly Staff meeting minutes. * Assist in clean up and updating for the RadCon webpage. * Assist in other RadCon projects. Basic Qualifications * At least 18 years of age. * Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program that relates to CPCCo, with emphasis in specific disciplines that support the cleanup mission and aligns with the critical skills and job assignment requirements. * Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment. * Currently enrolled with either WSU Tri-Cities campus or Columbia Basin College (CBC), or any online student living local to the Tri-Cities, WA. * At a sophomore, junior, or senior and enrolled full-time, as determined by the institution. * Willing and able to work 15-40 hours a week on a Monday - Thursday, 6a.m. - 4:30 p.m. schedule. Desired Qualifications * Pursuing a bachelor's degree in health physics. * Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Web page. Compensation & Benefits Starting rate is based on academic standing and field of degree, ranging from an hourly rate of $20.00 to $26.70 plus an additional $4.57 health & welfare adder in accordance with the Service Contract Act.
