  • Experience in nuclear or chemical facility as a chemical engineer, process engineer, or technician

  • Performs chemical engineering assignments typically in areas of process design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.

  • Experience interfacing with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Procurement, Project Managers, and Craft Supervision) and able to analyze and mitigate risks related to safety and project execution.

  • Experience with Nitric and Hydrofluoric acid a plus

As a Chemical Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Collaborate closely with a team of skilled Engineers supporting new designs and adapting/improving existing processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop/modify manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products.

  • Monitor and test processes and products to optimize processes and product quality.

  • Review and/or develop safety procedures for employees working with hazardous materials.

  • Design, plan and implement the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and streamline installation.

  • This is a full-time, office-based position with full benefits. After initial training, optional hybrid schedules are available.

    This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

    Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $90,000 - $122,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
