As a Ceramics Process Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Under direct supervision, performs standard engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing and maintaining structures, systems and components. Provides engineering advice, as needed. Your work will include: Supports daily operation of Ceramics process area. Preparing parameter sheets for production input. Interfacing with production staff, other process engineers, and design owners to address production improvements, process control, upset conditions, product quality, and safety issues. Troubleshoot process and equipment in response to quality or upset conditions Ensures compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards. May independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications. Works on special projects, as directed. Evaluates processes and system for efficiency, quality, and safety improvements. This position requires occasional travel.
