As a Teaching Professor at the WSU Tri-Cities campus, you will provide clinical expertise and a scholarly focus in the following areas: family practice, behavioral health, community health, pediatrics, acute care, and long-term care. You will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students in didactic, clinical, and laboratory courses; with occasional assignments in graduate courses, based upon expertise or certification. You will contribute to our excellence in nursing education by leveraging your expertise to enrich the Nursing Program, and support student success in various clinical and academic settings. The Nursing Program offers WSU students a range of nursing degrees, including:
• Pre-licensure Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Master of Nursing (MN)
• Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family Nurse Practitioner
• Doctor of Nursing Practice - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Career-Track, Teaching Assistant Professor level, responsibilities will be focused 100% on teaching.
Career-Track, Teaching Associate Professor level, responsibilities with be 90% teaching and 10% professional and university service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for both the Teaching Assistant Professor & Teaching Associated Professor Level:
• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Possess an unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Washington.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for Teaching Associate Professor:
• Currently serving in the rank of an Associate Professor or equivalent at a post-secondary institution, OR;
• At least 4 years of academic teaching experience with demonstrated expertise in academic advising, teaching, integration of theory and evidence-based practice in instructional approaches, demonstrated leadership, engagement and dissemination in local community, region, state or national professional or health-care related activities.
