MPF Federal, LLC AMB Financial Operational and Administrative in Richland, Washington

MPF Federal, LLC, a government agency, has an opening for a role in the Financial Operational and Administrative Business Support with the AMB and Department of Energy in Richland, Washington.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with accounting related to the Federal Agency Travel System Administration for the Concur Government Edition (CGE) Travel system.

  • Assist with Government Travel Charge Card statement reconciliation.

  • Assist with financial database reconciliation and clean up, including but not limited to:

  • CGE to the Standardized Accounting and Reporting System (STARS).

  • Budget Execution Reporting Tool (BERT).

  • Assist in the data retrieval and analysis required for financial statement preparation (i.e. Undelivered Orders (UDO) balance reviews, Comprehensive Field Financial Review and Certification (CFFR) support documents).

  • Assist with weekly, end of month (EOM), end of quarter (EOQ), and end of year (EOY) contractor invoice/cost, zero cost/pay adjustments, payment alignment for DOEPAC entries, property file postings, EDITS report, Accrual report, Abnormal Balances report, and other related reports.

  • Support various FIN and Budget systems, such as STARS, BERT, CGE, and Financial Accounting Support Tool (FAST).

  • Assist with internal control testing in accordance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123.

  • Assist with contractor invoice review.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of contractor and government staff.

  • Keep FIN management advised of work progress, new issues, concerns, and other areas of significance.

  • Provide support for updates to supplier records, banking, new purchase orders, and employee records in STARS.

  • Provide STARS reconciliation analysis and outcomes for a variety of financial activities as required.

  • Assist with executing reservation/obligation of funds for all contracts.

  • Assist with resolution of payment inquiries.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade C2:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or

  • 4-7 years' experience

  • Grade C3:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or

  • 8-11 years' of experience

  • Grade C4:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or

  • 12-14 years' experience

  • Grade C5:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or

  • 15+ years' experience

Requirements for all Grades:

  • Ability to quickly learn Hanford financial systems such as STARS, BERT, CGE, and FAST.

  • Experience in applying analysis techniques, performing various types of review, developing process improvements, and using automation tools.

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR), and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).

  • Knowledge of Federal Government and DOE accounting policies and procedures.

  • Ability to problem solve and formulate strategies.

  • Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities, preferred.

  • Effective communication skills and customer service skills.

  • Ability to independently perform multiple tasks with varying and dynamic priorities.

  • U.S. citizenship.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Grade C2:

  • Hiring Range Minimum: $92,000

  • Hiring Range Maximum: $117,000

  • Grade C3:

  • Hiring Range Minimum: $112,000

  • Hiring Range Maximum: $135,000

  • Grade C4:

  • Hiring Range Minimum: $130,000

  • Hiring Range Maximum: $153,000

  • Grade C5:

  • Hiring Range Minimum: $140,000

  • Hiring Range Maximum: $163,000
