JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse and Distribution Center job family manages the storage, transport and distribution of equipment, materials and products sold and produced by the organization. General areas of responsibility include receiving supplier shipments; picking customer orders; shipping, transportation and delivery of materials and customer orders; and inventory organization, management and control. Positions in receiving are responsible for taking receipt of inbound materials and finished products from vendors and suppliers.

AREAS OF IMPACT:

Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation. Establishes operational plans with

measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function. Focus is on short to mid-term operational plans (e.g., 1 to 2 years). Provides measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results. Typically does not have expenditure budget or profit and loss accountability, but may manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by management.

JOB DUTIES:

 Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of warehouse associates who receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a location or warehouse.

 Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

 Oversees the inspection of goods received.

 Oversees the maintenance of records of damaged or defective items and discrepancies in quantities and weights, and records time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials received or shipped.

 Responsible for supervising processes and procedures in the receiving and shipping department.

 Develops and recommends improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.

 Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team.

 Conduct regular associate meetings.

 Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience is typically required to perform at expectation. Applies advanced knowledge of specific technical areas.

TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

Associate is expected to operate at the expert level across the following areas of technical knowledge and skill:

 Ability to organize and prioritize work.

 Ability to effectively communicate in writing.

 Ability to effectively communicate verbally.

 Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups.

 Ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams.

 Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices.

 Ability to effectively utilize FEI's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).

 Ability to effectively operate motorized and/or manual lifting devices.

 Certified forklift operator.

 Certified in OSHA safety procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.

 Requires giving and/or receiving hand signals.

 Requires bending or twisting.

 Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
