Requisition Summary The Technical Research Manager is a key role to the success of our customers and maximizing UPTIME. This high impact, strategic influencer will be responsible for managing and leading a staff of Technical Research agents and Liaison Engineers in the Research Department. The Technical Research Manager is responsible for driving strategic improvements to reduce service time to response and managing the day-to-day customer (dealer and internal) requests ensuring quality responses that provide legendary service to the customer. This requires creative problem-solving skills in unique, fluid circumstances; resolving complex dealer and fleet requests; thinking outside the box while working in a fast paced, time sensitive environment; and developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships. Job Functions / Responsibilities Assign and prioritize workload based on case volumes. Ensuring engineering projects are turned around as quickly as possible providing potential parts sales. Resolve issues/roadblocks for department on current and new products with Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF, Marketing, Pricing & Materials Departments Maintain quality standards on case responses from Liaison Engineers & Technical Research agents Develop staff skills to resolve cab, axle weldment and engineering cases. Measure daily, monthly, and yearly performance goals/metrics. Prepare and maintain department budget, working with accounting on variances. Present as required to management status updates, department overview, and dealer training. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $96,700.00 - $136,290.00 annually.
