Job Title: Structures Assembly Mechanic

Compensation:

• Pay: $50 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Structures Assembly Mechanic to join our team at our Renton, WA facility. Responsibilities include 737 fuselage repair, installing, sealing, rigging, inspecting, and completing structural and system components. You will work from drawings, documents, process specifications, and quality control requirements.

Top Skills - Must Haves:

• Sheet Metal

• 4+ years aircraft structures repair (5+ years preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural re-work, repairs, and installs on 737 aircraft, specifically on the fuselage, join areas, and doors.

• Remove and reinstall fasteners; drill holes to close tolerance, install rivets and fasteners of various types.

• Repair composite panels, remove, replace, and repair flight controls.

• Fabricate and install doublers and triplers.

• Conduct functional tests and ensure the fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in drilling, reaming, riveting, and countersinking to close tolerance in an aviation or aerospace repair or manufacturing environment.

Training:

Training will take place in Wichita, KS or in Renton, WA (TBD). The training includes:

• 6-7 days of training in Wichita/Renton.

• Practice Plate Test & Computer Training.

• Plate Test: Setting up countersink, drilling, installing, and removing fasteners with zero defects.

• Electrical Bonding Testing: Must follow directions, read drawings, and interpret visually.

• Blueprint Reading Test: Training on using the system to find blueprints/drawings/schematics.

• Two chances to pass assessments with required scores.

Eligibility:

• Must be eligible for re-hire at Boeing.

Work Environment:

• Renton factory, working up to 7 days/week from 5am - 5pm.

• Training may be in Renton or Wichita, KS (flights and hotel/car expenses provided).

• 8 openings on 1st shift, 7 on 2nd shift; must be open to either.

• Must be eligible for a Boeing badge.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
