Description

Robert Half, in partnership with a well-established retail company, is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant for our office based in Renton, WA. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, solid accounting foundation, and a proactive approach to work. In this role, you will be performing a wide range of accounting duties, from general ledger reconciliation to financial reporting, budgeting, and other special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting processes.

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance.

• Assist with internal audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to senior management's attention.

• Assist in the development of annual audit schedules.

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes.

  Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.

• Experience with accounting software.

• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
