Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II
The specific responsibilities of the Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II are the following:
- Build numerous automated tests cases using existing harnesses using C++, Cucumber and Ruby.
- Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents.
- Assist defining strategies for load and performing testing.
- Test the product and documentation as needed to support the target release schedule.
- Analyze formal test results in order to discover, document and regress defects, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Communicate test estimates, test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
A minimum of 2 years' experience which must include at least 2 years' experience in each of the following:
- Software testing for at least 3 automation projects
- Building numerous automated test scripts for existing test harness using C++, Cucumber and Ruby
- Creating automation for Linux based applications and describing automation strategies
- Agile SCRUM experience in running daily triage and interfacing with Product Managers and Development Leads
- Debugging and problem solving
- Working with behavior driven (BDD) testing methodologies
- Verbal and interpersonal communication and writing documentation regarding software testing process and result
- Interfacing with customers on projects
- Working with defect and user story tracking tools such as Rally
- Setting up and performing testing on virtual test platforms
