Division Information PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector. The Role We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, deploy, operate, sustain, and grow the software systems that build, scale, monitor, secure, manage, and automate PACCAR's cloud services. The Cloud Engineering team within Digital drives the stability and sustainability of next-generation systems and discovers innovative ways to scale and operate them reliably. In this role, you will work with Systems and Software Engineers to create proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable your team to manage the health of cloud services, distributed server fleets, and the software stacks in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will deploy and monitor the systems and automation to ensure that tooling is working optimally. You will use trends and metrics to find opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools, and processes to continuously improve systems. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, be detail driven, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be comfortable designing, building, deploying, and operating. You will also handle systems functionality, performance, and configuration issues. The Cloud Engineer will show sound knowledge of Linux, containers and shell scripting concepts and theory and have some experience taking part in systems deployment and support.
