Description Senior Coder - 100% Remote. Most states eligible. Applies ICD-10/CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes to medical records based on documentation provided by physicians. Adheres to strict federal coding rules in selecting codes that appropriately reflect the condition, which the patient had, and the care that was provided. Abstracts clinical and statistical information for outcome measure and monitoring. Balances need for (95%) accuracy against timely completion for billing deadlines. Coursework/Training: AHIMA certified coding program. Upon hire: National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders Or Required upon hire: National Certified Coding Associate - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Coding Specialist - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Coding Specialist - Physician - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Health Data Analyst - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Registered Health Information Administrator - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Registered Health Information Technician - American Health Information Management Association Five years: CPT and/or ICD-10-CM/PCS acute care hospital coding experience.
