Robert Half Revenue Cycle Specialist, Post-Acute Services in Renton, Washington

Description We are looking to add a Revenue Cycle Specialist, Post-Acute Services to our team located in Portland, Oregon. This role is primarily focused on ensuring the accurate and timely billing and collection of payments from various agencies and insurance carriers. The position will work closely with clients, residents, and their families, as well as with our financial services team, to address and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable, billing, and collections. This job offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate billing and collections for services and equipment provided by our organization.

• Maintain robust customer service interactions with facility residents, clients, and their families or designees.

• Collaborate with the financial services team, departmental managers, and the information systems department to identify and analyze accounts receivable, billing, and collections issues.

• Coordinate with third-party representatives such as Medicare, Medicaid, Group Health, Veterans Administration, Managed Care entities, and others as required to resolve issues related to outstanding claims.

• Prepare reports and schedules as required for internal and external auditors and government agencies.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors rules and regulations by attending online seminars and monitoring relevant websites.

• Update patient accounts by posting charges, cash receipts, and adjustments.

• Assist accountants in balancing specific general ledger accounts as they relate to receivables and cash receipts.

• Implement creative solutions to meet billing needs and coordinate efforts with other team members and departments.

• Oversee the collection process on delinquent accounts. Requirements • Demonstrated expertise in Customer Service and Supervising roles.

• Proven experience in Training, Planning, and Implementation of Procedures and Policies.

• Proficiency in Payment Processing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Handling.

• Strong understanding of Finance, External Audit, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks.

• Familiarity with Medical Coverage, Claim Administration, and Billing procedures.

• Knowledge of Collection Processes and Regulation practices.

• Capable of overseeing websites and using Monitoring Tools.

• Ability to handle Quarterly financial matters.

• Strong Leadership Skills and ability to guide a team.

• Willingness to adhere to and enforce company Practices.

• Ability to comply with all non-discriminatory hiring policies and practices.
