Description Project Manager Remote Candidates residing in AK, WA, MT, OR, CA or TX are encouraged to apply.* The Project Manager plans, implements, and manages various research and non-research projects. The scope of work includes developing project implementation strategies; preparing and maintaining project timelines and budgets; training and coaching project staff; engaging project stakeholders; and generating project reports. Major challenges: Managing several, varied projects and re-prioritizing work when necessary to achieve all intended study goals on fast-paced research and non-research projects. Finding creative ways to engage stakeholders and develop shared understanding of the limitations and benefits of assigned projects. Maintaining regulatory compliance for research projects. Job duties: Develops, oversees, and executes project management plans for research and non-research projects. Coordinates the development of project implementation strategies; prepares, updates, and maintains project timelines and budgets; facilitates communication with project stakeholders; works collaboratively with leadership, research scientists from other organizations, and peers; documents approach for analysis; facilitates meetings; and monitors and reports success metrics. Creates and maintains foundational project management assets, such as charters, governance matrices, communication plans, project schedules, and status updates. Trains and coaches project staff. Assists with hiring. Coordinates work and provides feedback on performance on a routine basis. Demonstrates effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, stakeholders, other department employees and vendors in order to maximize productivity and positive employee relations. Coordinates writing and/or analysis of data, including writing drafts of reports for clients, contributing to articles for peer-reviewed journals, and presenting findings to partners, funders, and community stakeholders. Helps to develop new work by partnering with development team to write concept papers, scopes of work, and grant proposals. Coordinates the development of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) measures. Develops regulatory compliance systems for projects, and implements process improvement efforts. Maintains knowledge and expertise regarding research and evaluation methods, project management, and content relevant to projects. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, 3-4 years of closely related experience managing projects is acceptable in lieu of degree 2 years - Research/grant/healthcare administration experience or closely related experience.
