Annual Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 Position The Production Manager provides leadership and direction to ensure efficient and uniform manufacturing operations that will meet customer expectations. Develops policies, processes and systems that ensure a high level of quality, productivity and safety, while ensuring on time delivery of products. Production Manager will: Provide direction and coordinates the operations of the manufacturing floor and has consistent communication with other departments, including Engineering, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving. As well as on needs, priorities, and issues. Organize programs to plan, schedule, support, and improve manufacturing efforts and enhances value-add operations while reducing and eliminating non-value-added activities. Maintain a production facility where cleanliness, quality, and safety are second to none. Lead regular communications with the team pertaining to company and department performance, aiming to improve throughput and reduce waste. Coach, mentors and develops team to investigate the root cause for scrap and RMA issues; works with teams, including engineering and quality to establish corrective actions and prevent recurrences. Reduce variation in the work environment through implementing Lean tools, including 5S tools, Kanban, standard work, etc. Develop standard work for departmental processes. Review work instructions through the change request process with the goal of standardization. Set benchmarks and standards and guides the improvement of quality standards of products produced in the shop. Plan, develop, facilitate, and implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Preferred Qualifications: Applied technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing. Demonstrated skills and understanding of continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, on-time delivery, cost, and quality of products. Ability to apply advanced leadership skills to coach, mentor, develop, and foster high-performing and engaged teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community of customers and employees at all levels. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, plans, and specifications. Ability to read and write manufacturing reports and correspondence. Capacity to comprehend detailed and complex information and ideas and interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to effectively communicate and deliver information to managers, supervisors, and subordinates using various methods of communication (telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in-person). Ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Capacity to work under pressure while maintaining perspective. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with numerous variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
