The Boeing Company is seeking a First-line Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support our Team in Renton, Kent, Tukwila and Seattle, Washington. These first-line leaders will oversee functional support type services to Manufacturing and Field Operations on any of the three shifts.

Management openings include Equipment Services, Tool Fabrication, Product Services, Production Assist and Material Handling Equipment Operations. Candidates must have team leader or management experience, be adaptable with leading in a high-paced manufacturing environment, maintain oversight of employees who support multiple processes, services, areas and sites; utilize Seek, Speak and Listen in their daily interactions; systematically problem-solve and lead process improvements. Candidates must be able execute business plans, policies, procedures; support organizational strategies; develop and maintain cross- functional relationships and organizational partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.

Many of our functional support teams are integrated in the manufacturing build process or maintain assets used in the assembly process requiring a strong cross-functional first-line leader to strategically partner with manufacturing to achieve organizational performance and program goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be able to stand and walk up to 6 hours per shift.

  • Must be able to work any shift.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ of experience with management and/or team lead responsibilities in a manufacturing setting.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ of experience with LEAN+ and/or continuous improvement projects.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ of experience implementing safety improvements and/or completing RCCA.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ of experience using standard problem solving methodologies to effect change.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ of experience planning and completing tasks to a schedule.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a manager in a Boeing manufacturing setting.

  • Leadership or management training.

  • Proven communication and relationship-building across teams, shifts & locations.

  • Experience managing budgets and schedules.
