Resolve complaints and inquires and provide information to members, prospective members, providers, other insurance carriers, agents and brokers, attorneys, employer groups and other member or provider representatives in writing, in person and over the telephone. Issues may be health plan related (e.g. medical coverage, claims, referrals, eligibility) or delivery system issues (e.g., appointment access, medical center service complaints, physician selection, fee quotes, patient billing issues)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma/GED Required; Associates Degree Preferred

Basic Qualifications: • 1 year of call center.

Preferred Work Experience: Call center experience in a health care or insurance environment.

Ideal candidate: Medical or insurance experience with call center

Keys requirements:

• 2 to 3 years of customer service experience

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Quick thinker, willing to adapt, strong stress management skills

• Computer savvy - skills test (Data entry/typing)

• Healthcare or Insurance experience preferred

DIS: No HS/GED, Job Hopping, no jobs with admin/computer/phone skills

The ideal candidates will be adaptable, productive, and reliable as well as have an ability to work independently. They will have strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. They must be able to learn new processes, procedures, and software programs quickly, while demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in their daily work.
