Requisition Summary

Responsible managing and developing the internal manufacturing supply chain to include warehousing logistics, material presentation strategies and maintaining accuracy inventory. Provides leadership to supervisors and employees in order to support plant performance and attain Material Handling, best in class objectives.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assign duties to and direct the performance of both salaried and hourly personnel in a union environment.

  • Establish and sustain standards that support production schedules.

  • Actively recommend and Champion process improvement to lower costs and improve materials availability.

  • Applying Lean Material Flow Methodology to support Manufacturing.

  • Manage to budgetary goals of the department.

  • Efficiently manage the flow of production material from the receiving docks to the point of use.

  • Maintain communication of parts availability with production and materials personnel.

  • Recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, disciplinary measures, and other personnel actions in compliance with company and union policies.

  • Participate in setting schedules and the preparation of written reports for management.

  • Recommend capital expenditure that support for overall Material Flow Strategy.

  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university required.

  • Five years of previous supervisory experience.

  • Experience with general materials metrics, materials flow, and inventory measures.

  • Proven success at applying Six Sigma tools and methodology.

  • Background or experience with SAP, S4 Hana is a Plus,

  • Ability to perform production planning, forecasting, and resource coordination.

  • Take initiative and champion improvement projects through completion.

  • Assume accountability for performance of the department.

  • Be an aggressive problem solver and team player.

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and manufacturing expertise.

  • Effectively interact with employees, peers, and all levels of management.

  • Technical truck knowledge.

Salary Information

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors, including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $96,700 – $137,600 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
