Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant - Day Shift and Swing Shift

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.

• Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.

• Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.

• Read and follow order specification documents.

• Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.

• Effectively work with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.

• Follow all company rules and policies.

• Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

• Must read and write English.

• Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.

• Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to perform mentally and physically at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

• Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.

• Possess a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18+ years old.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must pass a drug screen and physical abilities test.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs at times.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a very large facility that can get hot in summer and cold in winter. Employees work with various machines including a 112" Multiflute Corrugator, 62" Single Face Laminator, Rotary Die Cutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, Platten Diecutters, and Specialty Folder Gluers. The day shift hours are from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays. The facility supports a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere with a focus on safety and quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, Washington.

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30
