Title: Machine Operator Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Operator Assistants. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced manufacturing personnel and grow your skills in a state-of-the-art facility. Responsibilities
Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.
Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.
Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.
Read and follow order specification documents.
Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.
Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and write English.
Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.
Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to mentally and physically perform at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining company expectations of safety, quality, and productivity.
Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
Ambitious with long-term goals.
Curious and eager to learn and move up.
Good attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment
Our facility features state-of-the-art converting equipment and includes various types of machines such as a 112" Multiflute Corrugator, 62" Single Face Laminator, Rotary Die Cutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, Platten Diecutters, and Specialty Folder Gluers. The work environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and the position requires physical labor, including lifting heavy items. We operate on a day shift schedule from Monday to Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays. Employees have opportunities for cross-training and exposure to different machines, especially during weekend and swing shifts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
