Clarke Vehicare is currently looking for an experienced Lead Fleet Mechanic - Truck Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record all repairs. This fleet consists primarily of Company Vehicles and Class 8 Trucks. What are the Duties? Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment by performing the following duties: Perform PMI's on tractors, trailers and other diesel-powered equipment. Perform all types of engines, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs. Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW. Must be able to work independently. Available to work Monday-Friday early shift Some travel included Must have full set of tools Ability to help assign repairs to shop technicians Interact with customer on daily repairs PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs. Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 5 years Related Truck Repair Experience Forklift Repair experience a plus Electronic diagnostics experience required Preferred- Certificate or Degree from college or technical school Diesel Program a Plus CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license with good driving record CDL a Plus or Able to obtain CDL Why should you apply?
